If you live in Saratoga Springs, are thinking about moving here, or are looking at a home near Mountain View Corridor, you probably have the same questions I hear all the time.
Where exactly is Mountain View Corridor going? What's under construction now? How big will it eventually be? When does the southern portion get built? And where do you find a current map instead of something posted years ago?
There's a lot happening with roads in Saratoga Springs and northwest Utah County right now, and several different projects carry the Mountain View Corridor name, which is what makes the information confusing. The good news is that UDOT and the City of Saratoga Springs both publish solid official resources. Here's how to make sense of it, and where to look.
What is Mountain View Corridor?
Mountain View Corridor, often called MVC, is part of the long-term transportation network serving western Salt Lake County and northwest Utah County.
For Saratoga Springs, it matters because the long-term plan includes a freeway running through the city. The city's 2025 Transportation Master Plan identifies Mountain View Corridor from the northern city border to Cedar Fort Road (SR 73) as a future freeway under UDOT jurisdiction, along with connecting projects like the 2100 North connection and SR 73 improvements.
One thing to understand up front: Mountain View Corridor is not one project with one completion date. Different portions are complete, under construction, being planned, or waiting on future funding. That's why you get very different answers when you ask when it'll be "finished."
Why the maps are confusing
This is the part I'd most want a Saratoga Springs homeowner or buyer to understand: there have been multiple projects along the Mountain View Corridor alignment.
Saratoga Springs completed a city-led extension of Mountain View Corridor from Pony Express Parkway roughly 3.2 miles south to Lariat Boulevard. That one finished in 2023, funded through a mix of regional transportation money and city development fees.
Meanwhile, UDOT has been planning the much larger Mountain View Corridor South project, which looks farther into the future and continues the corridor toward Redwood Road.
So if you find two MVC maps online that look different, check the date and which project the map is showing. One may show an existing road, another a future freeway alignment, and another a road still in planning or waiting on funding.
What's happening right now
As of September 2026, several major projects affecting Mountain View Corridor and northwest Utah County are either complete or underway.
2100 North to Porter Rockwell Boulevard: complete
UDOT reports that Mountain View Corridor between 2100 North and Porter Rockwell Boulevard is complete, with an opening celebration held December 20, 2025. That closed an important gap in the system between Utah County and Salt Lake County.
2100 North freeway to I-15: under construction
Another major project is on 2100 North in Lehi, where UDOT is building roughly 2.8 miles of new freeway between Mountain View Corridor and I-15, designed to provide a freeway-to-freeway connection. Construction began in spring 2026, and UDOT currently anticipates completion in late 2028, though it notes that date is preliminary and subject to change. For Saratoga Springs residents this one is worth watching, because it changes how the corridor connects to I-15 and the rest of northern Utah County. Is Mountain View Corridor going farther south?
Yes. UDOT completed the Mountain View Corridor South Final State Environmental Study in December 2025. The approved concept includes an extension of about 10.7 miles, with:
- A freeway and frontage road system from Cory B. Wride Memorial Highway (SR 73) to Lariat Boulevard
- An expressway from Lariat Boulevard to Redwood Road
- Two 12-foot shared-use trails running parallel to portions of the roadway
If you're looking at homes in the southern parts of Saratoga Springs, that's the plan to understand.
When will Mountain View Corridor South be built?
This is where I'd be careful about what you read online.
The environmental study being complete does not mean the entire 10.7-mile project is funded and ready to build. According to UDOT, finishing the environmental study makes the project eligible for the next phases: planning and funding, right-of-way acquisition, final design, and eventually construction.
UDOT currently says final design and construction will happen in phases under the Northwest Utah County Program, with the first phase of funding anticipated in 2031. That's an important distinction. 2031 is not the date the whole project begins or finishes construction. It's UDOT's current anticipated timing for the first phase of funding, and schedules can shift as funding, engineering, and right-of-way work move forward.

If you're searching for a Mountain View Corridor map, start with UDOT, not Google Images or an old social post.

Remember these are planning documents. The city notes that because it's growing so fast, the plan will be revised over time, so don't treat every detail as permanently fixed.

UDOT describes it as a long-term "one stop shop" for transportation information in northwest Utah County, covering Mountain View Corridor, 2100 North, Pioneer Crossing, and other area projects. Best of all, you can sign up for construction updates so you're not constantly searching for new information.
UDOT lists the project contact as a hotline at 385-510-2700 and email at NWUtahCounty@utah.gov. You can also email the project team with "Updates" in the subject line to receive construction updates for Northwest Utah County projects.
Check the city dashboard too
UDOT shouldn't be your only source. The City of Saratoga Springs Infrastructure Projects page covers city road projects, trails, and construction impacts, and includes a Road Construction Dashboard that shows projects on a map:

This helps because not every project around town is part of Mountain View Corridor. Some roads are controlled by the city, others by UDOT. The city currently identifies Pioneer Crossing, Redwood Road, Mountain View Corridor north of Pioneer Crossing, and SR 73 from Mountain View Corridor west to the city boundary as state roads.
Current road construction around Saratoga Springs
As of September 2026, Mountain View Corridor isn't the only major road project in the area. UDOT is actively working on improvements to Pioneer Crossing between Redwood Road and I-15, including flex lanes and additional work between Redwood Road and Mountain View Corridor, with portions expected to continue through late 2026. Because these change often, I wouldn't rely on any blog post, including this one, as your only source for current closures. Check the city's dashboard and UDOT's Northwest Utah County page for the latest.
Buying a home near Mountain View Corridor?
This is where all of it matters for buyers. If you're considering a home that backs open land, an existing road, or an area with planned transportation work, it's worth extra homework during your due diligence period.
When I research a property with my buyers, I like to look at current UDOT maps, the city's transportation plans, future road alignments, planned intersections and interchanges, right-of-way areas, nearby infrastructure projects, and proposed development around the property.
What's behind a home today isn't necessarily what will be there in ten or twenty years. At the same time, seeing a road on a future map doesn't mean it's about to be built. That's why I look at both the planned alignment and the current project status.
Will Mountain View Corridor affect home values?
There isn't one answer that fits every home. Major transportation projects can improve connectivity and commuting options for an area. At the individual property level, buyers weigh things like traffic, road noise, views, and how close a home sits to a major roadway. A home several minutes from a future freeway connection is a very different situation from one that directly backs a future corridor.
If you're buying near Mountain View Corridor, the more useful question isn't whether it helps or hurts values in general. It's: what is currently planned near this specific property? Once you know that, you can decide how much those plans matter to you. My job isn't to tell you whether to worry about it. It's to help you find the facts so you can decide.
